Our Story
The Ray Griffith Pecan Gatherer, is a classic, manual nut-harvesting tool manufactured exclusively in Columbia, Mississippi in the same facility, since 1956. My father Ray Griffith invented this gatherer, renowned for its simple, "American Made" craftsmanship, it provides an affordable alternative to costly mechanical rolling pickers. I have carried on the yearly tradition of seasonal manufacturing and selling of this picker without interruption since my father's passing many years ago

How it works:
The device features a long wooden handle attached to a heavy-duty wire basket head. You place the wire head directly over a pecan on the ground and push down firmly. The spring-steel tension wires spread apart to capture the nut and quickly snap shut beneath it. The gatherer features a movable metal side plate. When you are ready to dump the pecans into a larger bucket, you release the side catch to open the panel.
The upgraded Shotgun Pull Handle style, features an upgraded "pull handle" release mechanism. This allows you to open the side panel from the top of the handle without bending over or touching the muddy basket.
We also offer Replaceable Center Sections: The spring steel wire bottom—the "wear part" that eventually scrapes down from ground contact—can be unbolted and completely replaced.
